Sarai has been holding on to the promises made to her husband by God for a long time. Instead of encouraging Abram and urging him in faithfulness to their marriage, she decides to take matters into her own hands to speed things along. After all, she’s not getting any younger.
Still, like a lot of characters in the Bible, Sarai is not so different from us.
Why are we so impatient? What’s the big hurry? Is it that we are so concerned with our own mortality that we worry we won’t get what’s coming to us before our time is up?
